The guild bank represents our collective contributions and provides a convenient way for members of the Drunken Badgers to share the benefits of their professions.
The price of items in the guild bank corresponds with the standard Auction House price for the finished product or the materials used. The contents of the guild bank are not, and have never been, free for the taking. Remember as you withdraw that you are honor-bound to pay the bank back a fair or better than fair price. If you aren't sure what a fair price is, simply ask or check the AH.
The Guild Bank provides a means for us to pay for these goods with any available means on any alt. Common examples include payment with gold (via deposit), materials (an uncut gem for a cut gem of the same color), barter (enchanting materials for ore), in advance (via donation), or via a small loan swiftly repaid (a post-raid re-gemming paid off with the next week's dailies). The general GB should generally be gaining value over time, which surplus the officers use to fund prizes for guild events such as Assassins. If you have an idea for a fun guild event, please suggest it in the General forums.
Initiates are not given access to view the guild bank to help prevent theft. Initiates are not given access to donate to the guild bank because we do not want money to have any influence over the decision to promote or dismiss an initiate after their initiation. All members have full access to the guild bank (except for the Raid Tab, which is managed by the officers). Participation and use of the guild bank is encouraged, following the organization of the bank.
The tabs are organized as follows:
Tab 1: General. This includes BOE drops, rep items, repair bots, and anything else that is actually useful.
Tab 2: Cut Rare Gems. This includes only cut rare gems, two columns to each meta, orange, red, purple, yellow, green, and blue. Gems in the same row of the same color should be the same gem (ex: Chaotic Skyflare Diamonds are side by side, left and right, in the meta gem columns). Uncut gems should be deposited in Tab 4 (Materials). We are limited in the types of gems we can stock, therefore we only want gems useful for pve content. The gems that are permitted in this tab are listed below in the Gem Appendix.
Tab 3: Item Enhancements. These are Eternal Belt Buckles. enchants on vellums, leg armor/spellthread, and any other item which can be used to improve your gear. These are organized by the slot they enhance, top to bottom: weapon, bracer, boots, gloves, shield, cloak, and chest. Legs and belt are on the left.
Tab 4: Materials. This tab contains any materials commonly used by professions to make things that require a skill of 375 and beyond. For example, we store Frostweave Cloth and Eternal Life, but not Bolts of Silk or Primal Life. Uncut gems and enchanting supplies are also considered "materials" (and should not go on Tab 2 or Tab 3), as long as they are high level.
Tab 5: Food. This tab contains cooked food that provides a buff requires level 70+ to eat. This tab also contains materials for this food, such as Northern Spices, and raw foods. Do not deposit food that grants no buff (ex: Salted Yeti Cheese) or food which can be purchased from a vendor (ex: Honeymint Tea).
Tab 6: Raid. The guild officers store and manage raid assets in this tab. This typically includes abyss crystals and BOE epics, sorted by which raid contributed them (Whiskey or Vodka). Items which may be critical for upcoming raiding content are also stored here, such as Epic Resistance armor.
