I would add Nuadort to the roster for dps/tank..he's a solid player, brings another BR and can fill 2 roles too. I'll bring YJ primarily but will bring Frav if needed on weeks we are short for healing. Would be nice to add a shammy to the roster but if it's not Rev I do not want the other with the appropriate name for the fails at situational awareness. Also if Av doesn't have a 10 for his Dk..it might be a better class balance than 2 rogues..just a thought.

Loshan mentioned to me tonight he'd be keen to heal for the 10, he very much carried heals in a pug ToGC10 we did this week (we managed Mad Skill too!)

Cliff/Rhaeyn, do we have an ETA on you guys?

I am playing poker tonight. I will tell Rhaeyn there is a moonbear needed for stabbing time. Most of this summer we have had exercise contagion syndrome. If I injure myself badly enough for a surgery or something perhaps I will be online more.

FYI guys if the uber 10 man is starting up this week I won't be able to make it as I am heading back to my home town for the meeting up with friends and family and the drinking!

If there is a spot available in the Fri 10 man "A-team" raid and our good core group are the ones involved I would enjoy being a part of it. Blizzard sent me an E-mail this morning saying that they had to send my account to a specialist but that it will be fully restored by the weekend. So Not sure about this friday but every FRi after I should be fine. If there is no room, no hard feelings I will still be staying in DB and will see you sooon!

Ok I created a calendar event for the 10 man, named it Jager Bomb since there were no recommendations 8) - let me know if ppl are ok with the roster this week. I have Nuadort on standby in case Ziv's toon is not restored, then Jud can go heals. Comp is range heavy but I think that will be a benefit for most fights.

I will have a follow-up alt raid for icc10 like chaser setup on Frav for anyone interested

Ziv is confirmed on the roster (yay ziv is back!).

i'd like to pencil Loshan down as tentative for the 3rd healer spot as:
1) historical raid attendance has been spotty
2) i've never seen him raid heal (though here he is uber pvp healer)

we still need to hear from sagenn.

Welcome back Ziv!

RE: Loshan - logs are up from our 10man last week where you can check him out. Firesinger outhealed him on most fights mostly due to gear deficit I think, though L out-healed him on a few fights (Blood Queen, etc). We all know skill >>>>>>>>>> gear, just think back to our hour's worth of attempts on Algalon. Don't wanna be doing that weekly anymore :P

Dwarven is also keen to heal. Apparently Seel is keen to ret. If these peeps don't make the cut for the main 10 I'm sure they'd be happy to join the later alts run (I'll dust off Chia for it, w/e).

Not seen Sagenn online since Yogg/Algalon 10.

Can we ply Cliff/Rhaeyn back for this raid? Nua is a lovely guy and improving but still causes too many raid-wipes for my liking, healers frequently die to aggro on his watch, positioning can be funky and he seems loathe to use his own CDs to survive sometimes... to me these are fundamental tank skills he needs to work on before progression tanking. Though I may be biased after being threat-capped for the past 6 weeks  The tanking core of Whiskey's heyday was certainly second to none... we were spoiled!

Yay wb Ziv!! :D

I am poking Cliff and Moonkin about coming back to raid ICC 10 HM with us at every opportunity.

If you guys are reading this I faithfully promise to send MOAR honeycomb tim tams if you come and raid with us!

Would love to have Zoble back too! Do you think tim tam bribery will work there?

So as not to sound selffish as an officer, I am concerned we are leaving a potential 2nd 10 man raid which has shown interest on the forums without solid leadership. Chaser was a different animal as it was modeled around bringing the best of the best by public selection. We have not been transparent to the rest of Whiskey that we are creating an exclusive 10 man mainly of officers already rostered only on the officer forums, and those left out need to fend for themselves. Just my 2 cents we should be more open about it at least so people aren't holding out till Friday thinking all the others are doing the same which we are not.

@Chia in regards to Nuadort, yeah he definitely has been told and is working on not being a threat cap to us DPS. He has a bit of work to do, would be nice to get some advice from a uber bear tank on the forums :) for him. I know he personally researches to improve so he'll get there sooner than a Ducky per se but he is not close to our original tanking core in skill and experience yet.

I think maybe the general idea about there being a 10 man with a few open spots and the possibility of a 2nd one was given by Judrog during the last Whiskey. He may not have spelled out every detail or directly said that there will be no 2nd 10 man unless a leader volunteers, but I think he did mention the basics. A clarifying post about the situation would still be good. I can make it unless someone else wants to.

If Nuadort isn't aware of Elitist Jerks, http://elitistjerks.com/f73/t56285-fera ... iscussion/ could be a good resource for him to catch up at least on the know-how stuff and maybe on specific encounters.

i did say the following here:
http://www.zoblefu.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1640

"A group of us are going to run 10-man heroic ICC/RB between now and Cata in the normal Friday 6-11pm slot. There may be a spot or two open in this raid if you’d like to apply. I’d encourage others to form a second 10-man heroic ICC/RB if that interests you. I’ll start a thread to see if there is interest."

so far the only person who has offered to take a leadership roll on the 2nd raid is Gnome and we are grabbing him for the Yagger Bomb raid. btw, could we call it Sake bomb instead? much fonder memories here. :-)

btw, for the yagger/sake bomb raid, i was thinking that once we get all the early achieves and stuff, we should swap in alts for the early bosses to keep things fun (since none of our mains need the gear or badges anyway). just an idea.

Sake Bomb forum setup.

Sagenn confirmed he's in.

Re: Loshan -- his healing output seemed a bit below Rev's or Firesinger's. Was going to put him on the sub list for the time being until he can get used to raid healing.

Still have some spots on the 12-person regular roster. Any other strong candidates out there?

Have we asked Dextr? If he's not available, in spite of his snarkiness, Atal might be an option.

i asked dextr and he didn't seem available.

i'd rather not deal with Atal's snarkiness.

Jud could be the 3rd healer if we can find another tank. Or Dwarven.

I was watching raid hp closely (was keen on Loshan doing well this week), and as raid healing (and perhaps any role in this game) is all about 'closing the gaps' - with Malizz efficiently spamming Rejuv's on the entire raid there just aren't that many gaps to close at this stage of the game; looking at the log he went between tank healing and raid healing to be effective (Healing Wave vs Chain Heal % etc). In the absence of HoTs last week Loshan performed much better as there were many more chain-heal-spam gaps to close in a h-pally/r-sham/r-sham raid, while the group of this weekend past is probably on the cusp of running 2-heals on 80% of fights in there - I say we go for it and make the healers work for a change :P Will be a faster raid too!
